Various Artists - Love is Love

Lungfish - Love is Love
These two albums have very little in common, and I'm not in anyway comparing their musical qualities in this juxtaposition, or maybe I am. Because surely there is something, but not really to be said or really contemplated, much.
great label. the guys from mississippi were in asheville nc for a harvest records event. hats off to this site by the way. by far the best music blog ive been to. ever.
ReplyDeleteThank you for "love is love" wow holy crap
ReplyDeleteJust one listen and love is love is one of my top bring to the desert island because it's the only album you'll ever listen to again for sure. Many thanks for making this available. This music makes time blissful.
ReplyDeleteLove Is Love is at the highest height. Love it Love at the deepest depth, alright. All I can say is, I had this on vinyl and someone stole it. It's the only record anyone has ever stolen from me. I really can't even be mad about it. I would want to take it too. Lungfish is the real deal.
ReplyDeleteyeah mississippi records is awesome. too bad no one knows where the "70s thai" orchestra came from besides being a reissue of an equally mysterious release. either way my hardrive is now full and I must pursue on my quest for some allah rakha khan. i know it exist, theres just no older western releases i can find. if anyone knows where to find some email me wufrudelu@live.com
ReplyDeletethis is great. there is a song listed as "Chemarocha" that I remember hearing on "The Secret Museum of the Air" on WFMU (childrens music episode. "Chemarocha" equals "Jimmy Rodgers"). I love that tune. Jimmy Rodgers WAS some kind of magical goat-man.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your amazing collection of African music. I'd love to hear V/A Love is Love, but the link appears to be broken.
ReplyDeleteHi! I found your blog today and I'm massively downloading and going through all your posts, thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteBoth links on these albuns are down, if you could re-upload I would be very thankful. Matilde
